San Marcos Area Democrats hosting summer mixer

The San Marcos Area Democrats are hosting their first summer mixer for new members 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 at Gil’s Broiler, 328 N. LBJ Drive.

The group invites the public to attend the casual event and enjoy conversation and free snacks. A number of Democratic Party candidates are expected.

“We’re expecting a great turnout and we look forward to welcoming old and new members alike. I know it’s going to be a great event and will really get us ready for the campaign season,” said Carol Wilder, the San Marcos Area Democrats board chair.
