Farmers’ market slated Saturday on San Marcos square

Areas residents and visitors are invited to a “Market on the Square” on 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29 from in downtown San Marcos to enjoy the bounty of local farmers, artists and crafters.

The market will be held on San Antonio Street on the south side of the Hays County Courthouse Square. The special event will include a jump castle for kids and vendors selling their produce and crafts.

The Market on the Square is sponsored the San Marcos/ New Braunfels Farmers Market Association, Tantra Coffee House and the City of San Marcos. The goal is to set up weekly markets every Saturday on the square with music, produce sellers and other vendors.

San Antonio Street will be closed to through traffic between LBJ and the alley near Gordo’s during the event.
