Rio Vista Pool to open this weekend

Rio Vista Swimming Pool in San Marcos will open for the Memorial Day weekend on Friday.

Pool hours on the Memorial Day holiday weekend will be:

* Friday, 5/28/10 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
* Saturday, 5/29/10 from 12 noon – 6 p.m.
* Sunday, 5/30/10 from 12 noon. – 6 p.m.
* Monday, 5/31/10 from 12 noon – 6 p.m.

Rio Vista Pool will be open June 1 through June 3 from 3 to 6 p.m.

The official summer season begins on June 4. The pool will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12 noon until 6 p.m. and closed on Mondays.  Family night swims will be held from 8 to 10 p.m on Thursdays from June 17-Aug. 19.

Those hours will continue until Aug. 22, when the schedule will change to accommodate the start of school at Texas State and public schools. The pool will remain open until Labor Day.

Admission to the pool is free for children five and younger, $2 for children and $3 for adults. Any children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
