Benefit for KAPS radio will feature top musical talents

Hayes Carll, Bruce Robison and Jimmie Dale Gilmore will be play at a concert Thursday at the Katherine Anne Porter School, 515 FM 2325, in Wimberley to benefit the new community internet radio station, KAPS. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Jody Denberg.

Tickets for the event are $20 and may be purchased at the Katherine Anne Porter School, Hill Country Natural Foods, King Feed and Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffee and Smoothies in Wimberley. Tickets also are available online at www.frontgatetickets.com.

KAPS radio was initiated by local residents and will be based at the Katherine Anne Porter School. The station plans to feature multicultural programming with live broadcasting, podcasts, emergency announcements, local musicians, news, sports, tourism and Market Days information to serve community needs in the Wimberley area.

  1. Great idea. KAPS has a lot of talented students and hard working teachers. Nice way for community and high school students to work together.
