Duvall to be assistant principal at Goodnight Middle School

STAFF REPORT

Richard Duvall, the 10th grade biology teacher at San Marcos High School, was hired and approved by the San Marcos CISD trustees as the new assistant principal for Owen Goodnight Middle School for the 2010-2011 school year. He will make the official switch from teacher to assistant principal on July 1, serving with Goodnight Middle School’s principal, Steve Dow.

Duvall, who has been with San Marcos CISD since 2006, graduated from Plano Senior High School, then Stephen F. Austin University.  He earned his Masters of Science degree in educational Administration from Texas Southern University. He taught and coached at Brazoswood High School in Clute before relocation to Central Texas.

Commenting on his new job, Duvall said, “Nothing would please me more than to have a direct hand in the continuing growth and ongoing success of San Marcos CISD and Goodnight Middle School, in particular.”
