Former model, businesswoman to speak at Kyle chamber lunch

CJ Legare, a former model who owns a local boutique consulting firm, will headline the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce’s next monthly meeting.

The chamber will honor administrative professionals at the event, which is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohler’s Crossing.

Born in Tacoma, Washington, Legare was the first plus-size model signed to Elite Model Management’s Miami division where she worked for clients that include JC Penney, Sears, Macys, Dillards, Ralph Lauren, Bealls and Greyhound. Later in her 20s, she worked as a marketing tour manager with clients like SONY, Verizon Wireless and Bank of America. She founded her firm, Power Pinc, in 2007. She lives in Kyle with her husband, Josh.

Tickets for event are $15 with a reservation ($10 for chamber members). The luncheon will be prepared by Inn Above Onion Creek, a Kyle bed and breakfast, and administrative professionals will receive a gift bag with Mary Kay cosmetics and other goodies.
