Texas State’s softball team scored only two runs in two games in Denton Wednesday, dropping both games of a double header against North Texas.
North Texas won the first game, 3-1, then captured the second, 9-1 in six innings.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead in the first game on Jenna Emery’s homer in the fifth inning. But North Texas responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to claim the win.
Texas State also took a 1-0 lead in the second game on an RBI double by Allison Snow. But North Texas tied the game in the bottom of the inning and cruised to an easy win.
Elizabeth Dennis suffered both defeats from the mound for Texas State, allowing a combined six earned runs in 10 2/3 innings. Dennis is 1-5.
The Bobcats are off this weekend before playing Houston on April 21 at Bobcat Field.
