Travis Elementary School students are gathered to remind the citizens of San Marcos that they should take a moment to fill out their National Census Forms. According to the Census Bureau it only takes ten minutes to answer ten questions.

The census helps decide where critical funding will go for education and civic projects.

  1. Always staying connected with our community and our great nation! Thank you Daniel Guerrero and thank you Mrs. Margie Villalpando for all you did to make this happen for San Marcos and for our Cenus 2010!

  2. We burned our census when we received it. If you believe we should be receiving less federal money not more to begin with, believe that its none of the governments business regarding my race, phone #, ect, and you believe the government is not credible nor reliable enough to keep your information private as we saw in 2002 and 2003 when the US gov’t handed over your private census information to homeland security… then I’m not sure there is a good or logical argument for why someone who believes any of the above listed items should fill it out and send it in. Here’s an article discussing the handing over of your “private” census data in 2002 and 2003. Just a thought.
