Rattlers hold boys basketball awards banquet

The San Marcos High School boys basketball team recently held its awards banquet to recognize the Rattlers for their second straight playoff appearance.

Chris Threadgill, who made the District 17-4A first team, also won Rattler Most Valuable Player and the Rattler Assists Leader award.

Allex Austin and Josh Juarez each made the District 17-4A second team. Juarez won the Rattler Fighting Heart Award. Austin was named Rattler Defensive Player of the Year and Rattler Rebounds Leader.

Collin Hart was the District 17-4A Newcomer of the Year and winner of the Rattler Offensive Player of the Year award. Dylan Garcia won the Rattler 6th Man award. Dustin Nichols won the Rattler Spirit Award.
