Wood receives Patriot Award

Hays County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Sgt. Mike Wood received the Patriot Award from Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

ESGR Ombudsman Kathy Dial presented the award, accompanied by Hays County Sheriff Tommy Ratliff.

Each year, ESGR recognizes employers for their strong support of employees committed to serving in the armed forces guard and reserve units. Wood was nominated by Hays County Deputy Richard Lozano who, currently reserves in the 980th Engineer Battalion, U.S. Army.
