The San Marcos High School baseball team is more convincing than ever with its District 17-4A lead.
The Rattlers drubbed Lehman, 18-1, Tuesday night and improved to 3-0 in the district. The Rattlers, who collected 16 hits, were up 10-0 before the end of the third inning.
San Marcos pitchers Blake Bagley and Jeremy Gonzalez combined to allow only one Lehman hit.
The Rattlers, 12-8 overall, will play at home Friday night against Manor (7 p.m.).
Meanwhile, the San Marcos High School softball team took its second straight tough loss, falling, 4-3, at Lehman. The Lobos scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win it.
San Marcos fell to 1-4 in District 17-4A after two straight one-run losses. The Rattlers lost at home to Lockhart, 6-5, last week. The Rattlers play at Manor Friday.
