Thunderhill to have rescheduled opener

Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle will open its pit gate at 10 a.m. Saturday for its rescheduled season opener after it was postponed last weekend because of poor weather.

The grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m. Included in the schedule are qualifying at 4:30 p.m., a drivers’ autograph session at 5:15 p.m., heat races at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies and feature races immediately after the heat races.

About midway through the feature races, the track will put on kids’ bike races (also tricycles and power wheels). At the end of the night, the track will offer kiddie rides for the youngsters.
