These are a few of the charming companions waiting for a loving home at the City of San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter. When you adopt a pet, you save a life.
This charmer is Prancer, a sweet but shy chihuahua mix. Prancer loves to be petted and will reward you with a kiss. http://rescueconnection.sanmarcostx.gov/RP_AdoptMe.asp?aid=8160
Ziggy is a male striped tabby cat with a white chest who loves to be petted. He loves people and will provide attentive company. He also likes to play and have fun with cat toys. Ziggy is part of the Guardian Angel program – all fees covered. http://rescueconnection.sanmarcostx.gov/RP_AdoptMe.asp?aid=8453
Tia the calico kitty is sweet and shy. Once she gets to know you, she is very loving. Tia would not like to be around other cats or dogs. She wants you all to herself and would do best in a single pet household. Tia is also part of the Guardian Angel program, which covers all fees. http://rescueconnection.sanmarcostx.gov/RP_AdoptMe.asp?aid=7013
The Guardian Angel Program covers fees for some older overlooked pets. It asks for $50 donations, which go towards the adoption fee of a pet the donor can help choose. The donor’s name is put on a sign on the run showing which animal is being sponsored. With all fees covered, the program has been extremely successful in finding these animals a new owner and home.
The Mutt Strutt shelter support organization benefits the San Marcos Animal Shelter through the Guardian Angel Program, created in July 2007.
