San Marcos CISD sees red

020810dezhearthairDe Zavala Elementary School Coach Carla Roberts and Technologist Kelly Bost went all out with “heart hair” for “Go Red For Women” day.

STAFF REPORT

Anyone who visited San Marcos CISD campuses on Feb. 5 may have said, “I see red people.” That’s because students and staff all over the district were dressed in support of  “Go Red For Women.”

For once, “seeing red” had a positive meaning, as the purpose of the day was to raise awareness of heart health and disease prevention while alerting the community of the upcoming Hays County Heart Walk.

The Hays County Heart Walk is slated for March 20 at Bobcat Stadium from 8-11 a.m.
