STAFF REPORT
The Office of Study Abroad Programs at Texas State will hold its bi-annual Study Abroad Fair on Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Academic Services Building breezeway. Students interested in learning in another culture are encouraged to attend.
Information will be provided by representatives from a variety of programs offering opportunities to those interested in studying, working, teaching and researching abroad.
“I hear a lot of great things about the experiences of students who return from these programs,” said Study Abroad Program’s Julie Harborth. “Students who study abroad have the opportunity to become immersed in the language and experience the cultures of other countries.”
Texas State offers a variety of alternatives for study throughout the world. The program is designed to help students develop appreciation of other cultures and, thereby, gain deeper perspectives into their own.
More information on the Study Abroad Program can be obtained from Julie Harborth by calling (512) 245-1967, or via e-mail at jh82@txstate.edu. Information is also available at www.studyabroad.txstate.edu.
