The Texas State volleyball team is on a five-match winning streak after winning two matches on the road last week.
On Oct. 29, the Bobcats won at Stephen F. Austin, 3-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-19). Then, on Oct. 31, they won at McNeese State, 3-2 (25-15, 25-21, 21-25, 18-25, 15-9).
Jessica Weynand finished at McNeese State with 19 kills and eight digs, while Amber Calhoun registered 12 kills on .706 hitting.
Weynand and Shelbi Irvin led the attack against Stephen F. Austin. Irvin reached a double-double with 15 assists and 12 digs, while Weynand finished with eight kills and 10 digs.
The Bobcats improved to 14-12 overall and 8-3 in the Southland Conference.
The Bobcats will play at Texas-Arlington Tuesday night before returning to Strahan Coliseum for their final two home matches of the season. The Bobcats will play at home against Lamar on Nov. 5 (6:30 p.m.), then at home on Nov. 7 against Sam Houston State (4 p.m.).
