The San Marcos Baptist Academy begins its high school football season Friday night on its home field against Medina (7:30 p.m.).
The Bears finished their 2008 season 3-7 overall, but 0-5 in TAPPS Division II District 3. However, they’ve got a wealth of experience, including 26 returning lettermen, ten starters on offense and nine on defense.
Running back Anthony Richardson carried for 932 yards last season. Defensively, the linebacking corps are especially strong, led by Yaz Gaylor and Will Haskin.
Go Bears!
