A state district court has found the Hays County District Attorney’s office free of impropriety in the case involving Shawn Nathan Shipman after a Writ of Habeas Corpus was denied in July and Shipman subsequently entered a guilty plea on Aug. 14.
Shipman pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity and one count of possession with intent to deliver a dangerous drug. Shipman received a 498-day sentence in a state jail facility, with credit for time served.

My concern is, if I ever, for any reason, prosecuted by this DA, Am I going to have a fair trial?
Why would you worry, when it was shown they did nothing wrong? If you are inncoent, you will be cleared, and if you are guilty, you should be punished. Or is that not how the system should work? Doesn’t it matter to you that the special judge and the special prosecutor, both of whom ahd noties to the DA’s office, found “no impropriety”? Shipman apparently had two fair trials, and pled guilty at both.
