“These teenagers are learning important life skills, such as community service, common courtesy and business etiquette,” said Belinda Gardner, Director of Volunteer Services.

The program provides an opportunity for the volunteers to be exposed to various fields in the health care profession. Several participants are volunteers form previous years.

“This is my fifth summer to volunteer at CTMC,” said Sarah Martinez. “I like volunteering at CTMC because of the atmosphere. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The technology in the Medical Imaging department is very interesting to me. In the fall I will be pursuing a computer technology degree at (University of Texas at) Dallas.”
