Bowie students study other countries

Bowie Elementary School’s annual “Six Flags over Bowie” event, held the week of May 18, gave every student the chance to spend the day in two simulated foreign countries.

The students were given “passports” and “plane tickets” to help enhance the experience, and were immersed in activities the reflected the countries they were visiting. The event included foods, games, language and customs.

Bowie students studied Kenya, China, Egypt, Germany, Italy and Mexico.
