Texas State’s College of Science, along with its College of Education, will present a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) development day for middle and high school teachers Thursday in the Supple Science Building.
The event will provide educators with information about opportunities and outreach activities available at Texas State. It will also provide an opportunity for Texas State faculty to network with teachers, and begin the process for future collaborative efforts by sharing information about emerging research at the university.
“This is the first time we’ve organized this particular event,” said Texas State Professor of Biology Dana Garcia. “Its theme is science education and opportunities to enhance it through partnerships with Texas State University. We are hoping to host a similar event focused on math education in the fall.”
Event activities include a panel discussion, faculty tours, a tour of the Aquarena Center and more. For more information, contact Garcia via email.Email | Print
