Aquarena Center breaks ground

Breaking ground at Aquarena Center.


Aquarena Plaza, a new retail center featuring Colloquium Bookstore, Crazy Good Yogurt, Subway and Hotspots Locating, broke ground on April 24, with some help from the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce (SMACC).

Those attending the groundbreaking included San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz, Councilman Fred Terry SMACC Chairman Dan Roy, chamber ambassadors, representatives from Christians Development Company and many local supporters. The plaza was developed by Vance J. Elliot Realty Group.

  1. They Destroyed the 2 huge Oaks!! I also thought they intended to save the trees, but I just drove by and they pulled them out of the ground and hacked them up with their heavy machinery. How did the planning and development department allow this to happen? They are not even re-using the wood from the tree. There are smaller trees in my neighborhood that the road wraps around so that they would not have to be destroyed.
