Texas State puts football season tickets on sale


Texas State’s athletic department has put season ticket for the 2009 football season on sale for as little as $72 for general admission and as much as $2,000 for gold club seats inside the 35-yard lines. Beyond that, the renovation of Bobcat Stadium also will make luxury suites available.

The Bobcats are coming off an 8-5 season that included their second Southland Conference title and second NCAA playoff appearance in four years.

Among the returning stars for the 2009 squad are record-setting quarterback Bradley George and two-time 1,000-yard rusher Karrington Bush.

This year’s list of six home games include a family weekend, the 50-year reunion of the Texas State Strutters, an annual homecoming game, and games against perennial Southland Conference powers McNeese State and Sam Houston State.

Adult Bobcat fans can now purchase their season tickets to watch all the six games on this year’s home schedule for $72 for general admission tickets. Adult Reserve tickets are available for $84 for Bobcat Club member at the Associate Level and $90 for non-members. Child reserve seats are on sale for $60, while Texas State faculty and staff can purchase reserve seats for $84. Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets for $81 each.

Family 4-packages that include two adult and two youth tickets at the reserve level are available for $274.

This year, Texas State is offering gold club seats outside the 35-yard line for $1,500 and platinum club seats inside the 35-yard lines for $2,000.
