Oklahoma AG sues San Marcos telemarketing company

The state of Oklahoma is suing San Marcos-based telemarketer Golden Senior Advisors, Inc., alleging it called residents on the state’s “Do Not Call” list.

Based in an office suite on Moore Street, the company is accused of calling at least 28 people on the state’s Telemarketer Restriction Act Consumer Registry. The company also allegedly used an automated calling system, which is also banned in Oklahoma.

“Oklahomans have made it clear that they do not wish to received unsolicited sales calls,” Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson said. The company could be fined $10,000 for each violation.

Golden Senior Advisors was founded in 2003 and markets health products to elderly people, its Web site states.
