Kyle man charged with brutal San Antonio murder

A Kyle man was arrested at his home there Friday evening after San Antonio police say he brutally stabbed his ex-wife and ran over her lover in the parking lot of a Super 8 motel.

Elpidio Alcorta Ledesma, 35, attacked Cecilia Ann Ledesma, 42, as she left a motel room with a male companion, whom San Antonio police have not named. The man ran away when the knife attack began but had returned to the body when Elpidio Ledesma ran over him in his 2006 Hyundai.

The Kyle police had received word that Elpidio Ledesma was returning to his home in the 100 block of Decker St. in Kyle. Officer Zach Castilleja, patrolling near the area, saw three men behind Elpidio Ledesma’s residence and took the suspect into custody.

After being interviewed at Kyle police headquarters by San Antonio police detectives, Elpidio Ledesma was booked on a murder charge in the Hays County jail.

Cecelia Ledesma was pronounced dead at the scene; the male victim was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center.
