After more than a week off, the Texas State softball team will be back in action Tuesday when it travels to Waco for a 6:30 p.m. game against Baylor.
The Bobcats are on a three-game winning streak after taking three straight at New Mexico March 27-29.
Entering Tuesday’s game at Baylor, five Bobcats are hitting .300 or better, led by Kristina Tello at .322. Tello also leads the team with 22 runs.
Baylor is on a two-game win streak after sweeping Oklahoma State last weekend. The Bears are 29-14.
Texas State is 7-21 all-time versus Baylor. The Bobcats snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Bears last year that dated back to 2004. Texas State beat then No. 18 Baylor 5-2 on the road in Waco.
Ryan Kos hit a bases-loaded double to drive in three runs in that game, giving the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.
Following Tuesday’s game, the Bobcats will return home to host Southland Conference rival Texas-San Antonio Friday and Saturday.
