Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) donated $1,000 to the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce as part of its “Light the Way” program.
“We want to publicly express our appreciation and support to the men and women who enrich our communities and make them better, safer places to live in,” said PEC Assistant General Manager Jeanell Davis. “PEC is happy to support these organizations that support our members, and we need to encourage others to help as well.”
The “Light the Way” program honors chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, emergency medical services, libraries, fire departments, child advocacy programs, senior citizens organizations and other nonprofit organizations that support these groups.
The organizations that receive these funds help their communities by providing services that are needed, and will benefit all citizens. A list of organizations that receive funding from this program, along with information about the program itself, is available on PEC’s website.
PEC employees have been presenting “Light the Way” awards throughout March.Email | Print
