Texas State’s softball team went into Albuquerque, NM, during the weekend and returned with a three-game sweep, improving its record to 25-12.
The Bobcats finished the job Sunday with an 8-4 win as six different hitters drove in runs and Ryan Kos homered with two RBI. The Bobcats scored two runs each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings for the easy win.
A day earlier, the Bobcats beat New Mexico by scores of 9-8 and 4-1.
In the first of those games, the Bobcats scored five runs in the fifth for a 9-2 lead, then cruised to the finish. McKenzie Baack, Jenna Emery and Chandler Hall each finished with two hits. Hall allowed no earned runs in 4 1/3 innings for the win, improving her record to 15-6.
