The Bobcats enter their second meeting with Texas this year holding a 12-8 overall record, including 4-2 in the Southland Conference. Texas is 14-4 overall.

The Bobcats went 4-2 last week, all in the Southland Conference. They swept Texas-Arlington (UTA) on the road and finished 1-2 at home against McNeese State.
