The Buda United Methodist Church food pantry is seeking food donations to help needy families through Thanksgiving. The food pantry serves families in the Buda and Kyle areas.
The pantry served 67 families Sunday, almost 300 people, seriously diminishing the pantry’s food supply. The pantry is hoping for donations today.
The items needed include canned meats, such as tuna, Vienna sausage, ham, chicken, Spam, as well as frozen meats. Also needed are canned beans (other than kidney beans), soup and chili, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and sauce, Ramen Noodles, cereal, peanut butter (jelly optional), milk (powered, condensed or evaporated) rice, dry beans, sugar, flour, cooking oil, eggs, sweet potatoes and canned green beans.
