Motorcyclists. Wear a helmet! Who cares if they don’t look cool. They save lives!

I was approached later on that evening by a “medic” who arrived at the scene. He was told that the motorcyclist was “clipped” by an 18-wheeler, which I believe is true. I saw the traffic before it started backing up (shortly after the accident around 3:00 pm). There appeared to be two different scenes. One for the motorcyclist and the other with an 18-wheeler pulled over onto the shoulder. The “medic” told me that either the trucker pulled over was the one who clipped the cyclist or he was one that saw the accident occur. Either way, sad story.
