Crockett Elementary student Meganne Henry won a tee shirt design contest last spring, and this fall she passes her artwork in the hallways and classrooms of her school every day. Henry’s design was imprinted on tee shirts this summer that were sold by the Crockett Parent Teacher Organization, and now hundreds of tee shirts bearing her art are worn by students and staff alike. B.J. Hageman, Jr. of BJ’s Special Tees has printed the shirts each year for Crockett for the last nine years or so. Hageman said, “She did a really good job with the design. It was a good one for the school.” Hageman gave Henry and her parent a tour of the facility, explaining the process from design to imprint.
Crockett’s emblem is a star, and Henry dressed her school logo as a “rock star” with the language “We Rock” above it. Now Meganne Henry is a star herself, in her own right, and she’s enjoying the fame.
