09/05/08 – Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

Hays County Crime Stoppers is assisting the San Marcos Police Department in solving the following Armed Robbery from the Cold Case File.On Saturday, December 8, 2007, at approximately 10:45pm, an unknown female robbed the Motel 6, located at 1321 IH 35 North, in San Marcos. The female robber displayed a handgun she had concealed in her purse. She was described as a Hispanic female in her mid thirties. She had dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and was wearing a light colored baseball cap, tan blazer type jacket and a red shirt. She was seen in the company of an unknown male outside the Motel 6 before the robbery. The male was possibly Hispanic, medium to stocky build with a mustache, wearing a Texas Longhorns T-shirt and cap. After robbing the Motel 6, the clerk could not tell if the female left with the male as they were out of sight when they left the property.

After robbing the Motel 6, the female and male then went to the  San Marcos Red Roof Inn, located at 817 IH 35 North, and robbed the clerk at that location at gunpoint. A witness in the parking lot believed that the male and female were driving a tan colored, older model, Ford Crown Victoria. San Marcos Police Investigators were able to obtain these photographs taken from motel video surveillance cameras but have not been able to identify the suspects.
