Promiseland San Marcos holds river baptism

This past Sunday Promiseland San Marcos held the fifth annual river baptism on the banks of the San Marcos river. Having recently celebrated their fifth birthday here and holding a newcomers contest with the members, many gathered today at the river to worship and welcome new members to salvation. Followed by volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and lots of good food and fellowship.

With their humble beginnings of 50 members, Promiseland has now grown to a thriving membership of almost 1000 people. Reaching out to the local community with an all are welcome , come as you are outreach, their growth continues. Recently installing a playground for the children and a newly remodeled classroom for children’s worship they have plans for expansion on ten more acres. Their slogan “where you belong” has proven true for many families as a warm place of worship here in our community.

All services are broadcast in live streaming video via the internet on their web site . Services are Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday services at 9 am and 11am. Promiseland San Marcos is located at 1650 Lime Kiln Road here in San Marcos. Pastor Robin Steele and the Promiseland members invite all to come.
