Starlight Symphony Saddles Up for Sixth Season

WIMBERLY, TX – The Starlight Symphony resumes its six-year tradition of providing Central Texas communities with fine orchestral music when it kicks off its 2008-2009 season this month.The SSO takes pride in the continued growth of the orchestra in size and diversity. Since the symphony’s humble beginnings, the ensemble has grown to over 55 members with a wide range of talent, from junior high school students to professional seasoned musicians. Members come from throughout the Central Texas corridor, from Austin to San Antonio.

This season also marks the return of conductor, Cina Crisara for her fourth season. The 2008-2009 season program includes Fall concerts in mid-October, a Holiday performance in December, the Young Artist Showcase in early March and the Pops season finale in May.

Auditions for positions in the Starlight Symphony will take place on Sunday, August 17 beginning at 2:00pm.
