From the city of San Marcos
The city of San Marcos Permit Center is now posting a development map on the city’s web site along with other development reports that will help citizens track city capital improvement projects as well as major private ventures.
The information is posted at http://www.ci.san-marcos.tx.us/Departments/engineering/permit.html
“Our goal is to make information on development activity in San Marcos more visible and more accessible to all who are interested,” City Manager Rick Menchaca said.
The development map shows capital improvement projects, major commercial construction, public and institutional projects and multifamily projects. The map also lists the estimated cost of the project or development and estimated completion date.
Other new information posted on the web site includes a Permit Center report that lists a year’s worth of commercial building permits (over $25,000 in value) and construction documents that have been submitted for review. The current posted list has projects from July 1, 2007 through June 25, 2008.
The Planning & Development Services Department case tracking sheet is also available on the web site.
The report provides information on Land Development Code applications, including zoning and land use amendments, major and minor plat amendments and variances, annexations, conditional use permits, applications to the Historic Preservation Commission, planned development districts, sign applications, special exceptions, subdivision concept plans, and variance requests. The information will be updated monthly.
