San Marcos resident, Ed Lee, senior applications manager for Marshall Gas Controls, received the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) “National Education Service Award” last week during the association’s annual Committee Week meetings in Washington, D.C.
RVIA presents the National Education Service Award to those who have been instrumental in the development of educational programs in the RV industry.
“Ed has provided unequaled expertise in the area of propane safety through 20 years of service and work on RVIA education issues.” said RVIA Chairman of the Board Carl Pfalzgraf of Atwood Mobile Products. “He has displayed unyielding commitment and dedication to RV industry education.”
Lee received the award in recognition of his active participation as a member of RVIA’s Industry Education Committee. He has played an integral part in the development of RV Service Technician Publications and he had a key role in the RV Service Technician Certification and Job and Task analysis efforts. Lee has also been a lead instructor at RVIA’s Trouble Shooter Clinics since the beginning of the program 15 years ago.
RVIA is the national trade organization representing RV manufacturers and their component parts suppliers who together build more than 98 percent of all RVs produced in the U.S.
