Cavender's Holds Third Annual Summer Tent Sale

Cavender’s Boot City played host to thousands in San Marcos as they opened the doors on their 3rd Annual Tent Sale in front of the Tanger Outlet Center. The event had great music, barbecue, and great deals for the western clothing and boot fan.

Cavender’s Store Manager Joe Gomez, said, “This is our third year and this event starts right before Father’s Day and runs into the fourth of July, we have consolidated merchandise for all of our stores to San Marcos.”

Gomez added, “This is a great selection of merchandise from all five states and fifty stores, we have locations in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Kansas.”

Cavender’s has a long and impressive history. They started their company in 1965 when James Cavender opened a retail western wear business for men and boys; and the rest, as they say, is history. A really proud history, at that. Thirty-five years, 50+ stores and some 800+ employees later, Cavender’s Boot City and Cavender’s Western Outfitters have become synonymous with the well-dressed Texan.

The event is San Marcos has grown from a 20×60 tent to a 40×100 tent this year and it keeps growing each year. Ashley Bourne, sales associate from Tomball and current Texas State student said,” I love working this special event and interacting with our customers and giving away lots of free stuff.”

Jenny VanNote, sales associate from McKinney and current Texas State student said,” The music here along with our customers makes this a really big event and fun.”

Gomez added, “We want to supply the world with boots.” From boots to belts this will be the best western sale in this area.
