San Marcos Public Library's first family night of the summer.

James Massaro and 3-year-old Vivianna check out the busy bees on display at the public library’s first Family Night event of the summer. Bob Benson of the San Marcos Area Bee Wranglers shared fascinating facts about bees and beekeeping to interested kids and parents. Every Tuesday night is Family Night at the library during June and July and upcoming events include Peter Rabbit Puppet Show on June 17, Dirty Car Artist, Scott Wade, on June 24, and a Red, White & Blue Craft in honor of Independence Day on July 1. Events start at 7:00 p.m. and last about 30 to 40 minutes.By ROBIN D. WOOD
