High School’s academic teams take first in Central Texas practice meet

DEL VALLE — San Marcos High School’s University Interscholastic League’s academic teams racked up a number of awards at at their first practice competitions of the semester.

On Feb. 16, San Marcos’ students accumulated 299 points putting them ahead of competitors from schools across Central Texas, UIL coordinator Lacye Odam said. Competition continues tomorrow in Round Rock and on March 8 in San Antonio ahead of the March 29 district competition, hosted this year by West Lake High School in Austin.
