A homeless man known affectionately to some South Austin residents as Santa Claus is living with a Wimberley family after his disappearance a few weeks ago from the usual spots gained notice, the Austin American-Statesman reports. (The newspaper did not say if Santa Claus brought along switches and lumps of coal for the Wimberley school board.) … The city of Austin has bought 1,500 acres near Farm-to-Market Road 967 west of Kyle for preservation as greenspace, News8Austin reports.
