New Braunfels officials are hyped about the Jan. 25 official opening of the renovated and expanded New Braunfels Kongresshalle Civic Center. The facility — including an 11,780-square-foot exhibition hall, 9,300-square-foot ballroom, five breakout rooms, serving rooms and two kitchens — is already getting good use, the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung reports, with events scheduled starting Jan. 15. … News8Austin picks up on the Planet K car art flap after San Marcos Municipal Judge John P. Burke ruled that the demolished vehicle-turned-painted-planter at the head shop and novelty store on Interstate 35 is a public nuisance and must be removed.
