The San Marcos city budget that took effect last month projects that the city's expenditures will increase by $7.6 million (5.4 percent), while revenues will increase by $8.7 million (6.5 percent). The $147.8 million budget keeps the property tax rate at 53.02 cents per $100 of taxable valuation for the fiscal year.
