Santa recently visited San Marcos CISD's Child Development Center for a little one-on-one time with the students. Santa and the kids reported that they enjoyed the visit.

School district pregnancy rate falling since 2008

Since San Marcos CISD began keeping statistics in 2002, the school district has averaged 74 pregnancies per year. This year, which is nearly half done, the school district has 29 pregnancies so far.

San Marcos CISD trustees adopt ‘abstinence plus’

By a 5-2 vote Monday night, San Marcos CISD trustees decided to overturn the school district's "abstinence only" sex education policy in favor of "abstinence plus," which teaches about contraception along with abstinence.
