DA’s office cleared in Shipman case

A state district court has found the Hays County District Attorney's office free of impropriety in the case involving Shawn Nathan Shipman after a Writ of Habeas Corpus was denied in July and Shipman subsequently entered a guilty plea on Aug. 14.

DA agrees to new trial in Shipman drug case

Saying allegations of wrongdoing against a prosecutor and a detective "taint" the conviction, District Attorney Sherri Tibbe today agreed to a new trial for a man who pled guilty in March to drug trafficking and possession.
