Questions about college? Get answers at the San Marcos Public Library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, or by appointment. Want to return to school? Finishing up your GED or high school diploma? Just out of school or been out for a while? Texas State AmeriCorps G-Force members will help with searching for colleges, filling out applications, and looking for scholarships and financial aid, including the FAFSA.

JOB Fair – Rotary Club of Greater San Marcos
The Rotary Club of Great San Marcos, Workforce Solutions and the City of San Marcos are holding the job fair at the San Marcos Activity Center on Thursday, May 23, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This 9th Annual Job Fair will involve approximately 40 employers from various cities in Hays County as well as selected employers from Caldwell, Comal and Travis counties. Last year we registered over 500 clients seeking jobs that were available at the Fair.
We are expecting more jobs to be available this year and want to see if the San Marcos Mercury could assist in getting the word out and help to make this year’s job fair a great success!
CTMC Scholarship Awards Ceremony
Because of their academic achievements, community involvement and future career goals, several outstanding area high school students will be awarded with a scholarship from Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) on May 23. The community is invited to attend the reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the CTMC Community Classroom.
