Musical ‘boot camp’ brings ‘Oklahoma!’ to Price Center stage

Thirty San Marcos children and teens have been learning the lyrics, lines and moves to Richard Rodger’s and Oscar Hammerstein’s Broadway classic “Oklahoma!” during the past 11 days to prepare for nine performances beginning Friday.

National foundations pledge $488K for Bastrop art center, sculpture garden

A collaboration of national nonprofit organizations has awarded the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild a $488,800 grant to help covert the century-old Powell Cotton Seed Mill into the Lost Pines Art Center & Sculpture Garden.
