The San Marcos community is invited to attend the September 11 Remembrance Ceremony in front of City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins St., on Saturday, Sept. 11 beginning at 9 a.m. honoring those lives were lost in the terrorist attacks of 2001.

A group that opposes San Marcos CISD’s annexation into the Austin Community College District has asked a state district judge to prohibit Mayor Susan Narvaiz and council member Kim Porterfield from using city of San Marcos resources to promote the effort.

Central Texas Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Gary L. Jepson is leaving that post after nine years, the San Marcos hospital announced this afternoon.
