Cowboy Christmas Ball to be held Dec. 5

Texas State’s fundraiser for its Orchestra Scholarship Fund, the Cowboy Christmas Ball, will be held on Dec. 5 at the LBJ Student Center Ballroom.

The ball will feature the music of Michael Martin Murphey with his traditional Cowboy Christmas performance at Texas State, as well as the Texas State Symphony Chamber Orchestra. The orchestra is conducted by Howard Hudiburg.

Parking at the event is free at the LBJ Student Center Parking Garage. The ball features a cash bar and dancing. There will be limited general seating.

Tickets for the event are $25 and are available online at http://uweb.txstate.edu/gao/ffa/mmm_2009.htm. Tickets purchased through Tuesday will be mailed to the customer. Sales after Tuesday will be held for will call until the night of the event. The will call table will be inside the lobby by the entrance of the LBJ Student Center Ballroom. Will call orders may be picked up anytime between 6-8 p.m. the night of the ball.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.  All proceeds benefit the Texas State Orchestra Scholarship fund.
