San Marcos Mercury | Local News from San Marcos and Hays County, Texas

San Marcos police are distributing a set of surveillance photos that they hope will help identify suspects in two pizza shop robberies this weekend.

Police believe the same two men robbed the restaurants within 30 minutes of each other late Sunday and early Monday, city spokesperson Kristi Wyatt said. They are described as black men, both about 6 feet tall and slender.

At about 11:30 p.m. April 16, two masked men walked in to Pizza Hut, 900 Bugg Lane, demanded cash and left with a few hundred dollars, police said. At least one of the men was armed with a black handgun.

Shortly after midnight April 17, the same two men entered the Dominos, 350 N. Guadalupe St. downtown, and also demanded cash from the register, police said. They left on foot and disappeared into a nearby alley, police said.

One of the suspects was wearing a gray hoodie pulled up to cover the lower half of his face. The second suspect was waring a black shirt and pants with a camouflage bandana pulled over his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Michael Casillas at 512-753-2182, or the police department’s Criminal Investigations division at 512-753-2300.

Photos of the suspects, taken from surveillance camera footage and released today by the police department:
